Frequently Asked Questions

How does dry cleaning work?

When you drop off your clothes we send them over to our main production building, the BYU Laundry, and once they're cleaned and pressed, they send them back here! All you need at pickup is their first and last name.

You should make sure to thoroughly check your pockets before dropping off clothing items! Also, we don't need a hanger; just give us the clothes themselves and we'll give them back to you on a new wire hanger.

I'm leaving in less than a week. Can I get my dry cleaning done here?

We request 4 business days before departure dates for dry cleaning needs.  Our typical turnaround time is actually only two business days but we  prefer a  little buffer for missionaries leaving the country.  Three days is often very doable however just in case 4 business days will ensure you have the items back that you need.

Can you help lengthen my skirt or dress?

We're afraid we do not add material to lengthen skirts or dresses.

Can you help do alterations to improve the style?

We're afraid we do not do cosmetic tapering of pants or shirts. We only provide services to improve functionality.

How long do alterations take?

Alterations often have a two week turn- around time so missionaries need to plan accordingly and may not receive the service they hoped for depending on their departure dates

What should I expect with an alterations visit?

Any alteration being done to a piece of clothing will be an in person visit.  Missionaries can expect to stay for the appointment and be measured.
