Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the MTC President’s office?

The MTC President's Office is located in Building S1 room A104.

Where is Missionary Assistance?

Missionary Assistance is located in Building S2 room 227 (above the Bookstore near the elevator). You need to visit with your Branch President prior to visiting Missionary Assistance

Can I call my Branch President?

Yes, you may call your branch president at any time!

Method 1: Use Google Chat to start a voice or video call with your branch president. His email is listed under "My Profile" on the main page of this app.

Method 2: Come to us in Building S1 lobby (dressed in missionary attire), and ask for a private room to talk with your branch president.

Do I have to be in missionary attire to go off campus or be in S1?

Yes please!

Can I study in the lobby of S1?

Yes, you may study in the lobby of S1, however, it is generally preferred that you study in other locations. Please be in missionary attire and quietly respectful.

What should I do with things I don't want to take on my mission?

Please take care of sending items home in advance of your leaving the MTC, preferably before your last day!

If you live locally (within a close driving distance from the MTC) bring your item(s) to the Mail Room to be sent to Post Mart, a local mailing store in Provo, at no charge.  We can help you box up your item(s). We will give you a sticker to fill out for your box, which will need the name and phone number of the person who will pick up your item(s) from Post Mart. You then need to inform that person that the the items are being sent to Post Mart. Post Mart employees will also call that person once the item(s) are ready for pick up at their store. Post Mart is located on 2279 N University Parkway in Provo and their phone number is 801-373-5900. It is located about 2 miles from the MTC in the same area as the Walmart Neighborhood Grocery store.  If the person picks up the item(s) at Post Mart within two business days there is no charge for them.  If, however, it is not picked up after 2 days, Post Mart will charge a $5.00 holding fee per day to the person in order to pick it up.

If you live in another state or country, you can come to the Mail Room and we will help you box up and mail your unneeded item(s). You will have to pay for the postage to get them to their destination.  If it’s going to a foreign country you will need to plan on being here at the Mail Room for at least 15 minutes as we have to fill out a customs form for foreign mailings. Customs requires an itemized list of all items in the package. A full name, address, and phone number for the receiving person is needed for all foreign mailings.

Due to construction in Temple Square, these visits are temporarily suspended.
