Helping Others Introduction
What is Helping Others?
Helping Others is an activity where you and your companion will connect with a person, via video conference or in-person, and have the chance to invite and help them come closer to Christ through your teaching, in your native or mission language.
How do I sign up to Help Others?
Navigate to mtctrc.as.me
Select the desired language, appointment length, and meeting type (online or in-person)
Finding someone to teach:
For your first appointment, it's recommended that you select the "Any Available" option so you can choose a day and time that will work for your schedule, then you will be assigned someone to teach.
For follow up appointments with the same person, you can scroll to find their bio and then find a time they are available.
When to schedule appointments:
You're encouraged to schedule an appointment any time you don't have class or another activity already in your calendar. You may need to adjust your personal or companionship study time in order to find an available appointment that works for your schedule.
You will only be able to schedule an appointment within the next 14 days. Check back weekly to schedule more appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I do if the person I am teaching isn't there or if I miss an appointment?
Please wait for about five minutes. The people you teach have busy lives, and they may be running a few minutes late. If they are more than five minutes late, please the report the missed appointment by contacting or visiting the Helping Others desk for help.
The best thing you can do is to get in contact with them through email or google chat. Let them know how sad you were that they couldn't make it. If something happened, express your concern, sympathies, or share something helpful and uplifting. Consider providing them with something to read, watch, or do as a commitment if applicable. If you need help, please call, email, or visit the Helping Others desk.
Something came up and we are unable to make it to our lesson. What do we do?
If you need to cancel an appointment, you should notify the people you are going to teach and the Helping Others desk as soon as possible by email, phone (801) 422-6971 or visiting the desk. If you need the contact information of the person you are supposed to teach, the staff at the desk will be able to help.
The person we are helping accepted an invitation to be baptized! What do we do?
That is so exciting! Please inform the staff at the Helping Others desk by phone, email, or visiting the desk and they will take it from there.
Are the people that we help members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?
Those who are members will all act as if they are not members of the Church. We will not disclose if a person is a member or not. The people you teach have also been instructed not to disclose if they are members or not, so please do not ask.
