What is MTC Mentoring?
MTC Mentoring is an opportunity for missionaries to receive 45 minutes of individualized help from an MTC teacher. (Called a mentor!)
We can help you apply Adjusting to Missionary Life principles so you can respond positively to various stresses you may encounter, including:
Emotional and social challenges, such as homesickness or fear of talking to strangers.
Teaching-related stress, such as mastering Preach My Gospel skills, preparing for teaching experiences, or learning a new language.
Interpersonal stress, such as difficulties working effectively with others.
For help improving reading, comprehension, and ability to focus while studying, please visit the Study Skills Office by signing up in the app. (MTC App - Signups - Study Skills)

What will the appointment be like?

If you are participating in the MTC from home, you will join your mentor’s zoom link that is included in your appointment confirmation email. Your mentor will introduce themselves and take some time to get to know you. They will ask you how your MTC experience has been and what you would like to work on together.
How long is a typical appointment?
You will sign up for a 45 minute time slot.
Do I bring my companion(s) with me to my appointment?
If you are participating online, it is not necessary to bring your companion with you. If you are participating in person, yes! You should. Your companion(s) can participate in the lesson too.
